I chose '98 because it was the first time the truck series had a serious amount of drivers competing most if not the entire season. I am doing the top 28 in points minus Rick Crawford because he is a terrible person. Alongside the fact is was the first full season in Nascar for one of my favorite drivers Greg Biffle and my all time favorite driver Kevin Harvick.
so excited on this bro love your skins! --- Post updated --- also something was wrong with the neil bonnett 31 on the 1993 sjkins
Thanks Many trucks in the early days were very similar to their cup series counter parts. Jay Sauter drove for Richard Childress from 1996 to 2002 in both trucks and the Busch Series. Baring the same number sponsor and scheme as Dale, Jay's truck became immediately recognizable.
Before I got more serious about making skins I started on Paint.net because its free. Both I have slowly emigrated more towards photoshop do to me having a subscription through college.
i have a question calvin, is it easier to make schemes on paint.net cuz i am planning to make some nascar skins using paint.net and also where do you get the templates?
I have always used paint.net for making skins, it's honestly the best free software for what you're doing in terms of skin making. Photoshop is better I do agree, but honestly there's not much Photoshop can do that paint.net can't
Xpress Motorsports was known in the late 90's and early 2000's for having interesting fonts for their truck numbers. Alongside winning the 2002 championship with Mike Bliss driving.
I've been using the 2001 skin pack and its amazing your work is stunning mate. I might try using all of the 2001 skins but i dont think that'll be possible with a computer like mine.
Big Scot Walters. One of my favorite niche drivers that little people know about. Clarence Brewer owner of the truck he ran during his short career, owned a Busch series team as well which fielded cars with many star studded part time drivers. Bobby Labonte, Ward Burton, Greg Biffle, Jason Keller, Jamie McMurray. With all of these drivers if you look far enough back the second full time driver that Brewer fielded was Scot Walters. Alongside all of this the team was eventually bought out by Mike Curb. The man that is now a part owner of Thorsport the behemoth of the truck series.
Terry Cook was Duke Thorson's first win ever his team has soon morphed into the absolute powerhouse of the Craftsman Truck Series. But this all started with a relatively unknown driver with the first win at a little track that's since been closed in Flemington New Jersey.
Jack Roush has a history of developing great talents in the lower divisions. In his rookie year Greg Biffle didn't look anything special but soon he would show the fans what he was capable of. With veteran driver Joe Ruttman next to him Biffle had the perfect opportunity to develop.
