    Hey :)
I'd suggest that you guys add the possibility to choose wheather to use mp/h or km/h as scale for the speedometer.
One could add those to the Part-Selection Menu...
I'm not quite sure how much work that is, but I'd really like to have that because it somehow is unpractical to use the debug modes to get my speed in km/h when driving in 1st Person...
I don't feel comfortable with mp/h as I'm used to km/h and also kinda thought (until my last lap on DRI) that I was driving 50 km/h rather than 70 km/h...
I hope that you guys read that and might implement it :)

    Cheerio!

Speedo is part of the vehicle texture, could be doable as a part I guess but there was a guy that already did some retextures somewhere with new speedo designs. If I recall I was slightly disappointed as they were in km/h instead of mph but that should suit you perfectly.

Most of the default vehicles though do have dual miles/kilometre markings. Set texture quality to high and play fullscreen and they are usually perfectly readable.

1mp/h is 1.6 km/h, that's all you have to know.

I have the texture quality on high but can't seem to find them?!
And I really dont want to add some mod that also gives me a speedometer in 3rd Person view...that was the only one i stumbled across...I just want to have it in 1st Personview...
Some Vanilla stuff would be nice i guess...

I 'm actually not quite good in math..I couldn't just calculate 85mp/h divided by 1.6 in no time :D

When I see something in KMH I just remember that 120mph is 200kph as a base. (So 100kph is 60mph)

    Let's say about 120km/h

    Now let's calculate:

    127,5 km/h

One fact for you: 100mph is 160km/h

    As I said :D I suck in Maths :D
And furthermore i realy don't want to calculate all the time just to know with what speed i'm driving or crashing into sth...:D
I'm totaly glad for every minute where i don't need to think about stuff like that, as studying is enough for me right now :D
    Like a no-brainer...that'd be great :D

The dashboard mod I was referring too was not a 3rd person thing, it was literally retexturing the dashboards inside the car to be in KM/H only instead of mixed markings. Struggling to find the thread though, wondering if it was deleted, shame, they were decent looking dashes they just irritated me because there wasnt an mph version available.

Now, look at the dashboard of a real car and at least here in the UK the speedo has 2 sets of markings. One ring on the outside written in MPH and a second ring in smaller font in KM/H. I expect the same applies to European vehicles but possibly inverted. Now look on the dashboard of the D15 which probably has the most obvious dash, the same applies to it, the speedo is marked in MPH but inside of the MPH markings are KM/H markings.

And yeah, the maths is pretty simple to do mentally. For every 3mph your doing about 2kmh if you want a rough approximation.

Otherwise work out how to edit textures yourself and retexture the dashboards yourself

    That's the one
I can only speak for cars sold in England not Germany. I am yet to come across a vehicle that hasn't had dual mph km/h markings except for my mates 125cc motorcycle which has a digital dash in mph only with an option of swapping for a km/h mode and my old 50cc moped which had km/h on the outer ring and mph on the inner small font one. I would have expected Germany to be the same, just perhaps flipped so km/h is outside and mph inside but I haven't been so I'll take your word for it.

It is definitlely the case that the d15 has dual instrumentation.

I personally have no concept of speeds in km/h off the top of my head, used to miles. Exact opposite of you :p but I can convert roughly.

give me imperial please I am old school I prefer Miles to KM but I can convert between them I use the 5/8 conversion on it and the maths adds up on that its pretty easy really

I was driving the Moonhawk when I first realized that I drove 50 mph rather than 50 km/h... and that car hasn't both scales..
I honestly don't use the D-15 often so I just guess that you are right :D
But then both scales should be rather at all speedometers..would seem to make sense imo :)
That'd be just a little texture change I guess? so one isn't even in need to add a whole new part to choose from :p

And I've never seen mph scales on German cars :D
But I could be just blind again :D
