This is my current little "work on it if you can" project, and I figured I'd share it with you all so you can see it slowly progress. Right now it stands as a meshslap, as I've not gotten around to properly jbeaming the body and frame. I have taken much inspiration from the 4th Generation Ford Explorer.

Probably my biggest hope is to add rear independant suspension, as fourth gen explorers had, but jbeam is scary lol. If anyone wants to offer help beaming the rear independant suspension, pm me, I have it mostly modeled, just needs some final touch ups and details.

    Based off this explorer: upload_2019-5-29_7-41-53.jpeg

As of right now the parts are:
    - Hood
    - Fascia
    - Bumper
    - Fenders
    - Body (shortened)
    - Frame (shortened)
    - Rear Doors (Pillars have been angled)
    Heres some pics: upload_2019-5-28_22-26-43.png

have you considered flipping the front indicators upside-down?
i think it would look a bit more modern/aggressive.

The Roamer doesn't need a facelift, it needs a miracle... :p

Anyway, good luck. I'd opt for some cheap and easy improvements you'd expect from a refresh, like integrated turn signals (maybe clear, with amber side marker), clear lens sealed beams, smooth bumpers and sleeker mirrors...

Lol yeah, it’s quite an interesting design, the roamer. I’m going to try to do quite a handful of little changes all around, the biggest definitely being the shortened frame and body, and also the scratch made bumper. I plan on making a custom rear bumper as well. Hopefully by the end the parts that I will have edited or custom made will be
    • Both bumpers
    • Hood
    • Fenders
    • Taillights
    • Body and frame
    • Tailgate
    • Fascia (needs more work, thinking about rounding some corners and some other stuff)
    • Some of these are already edited, I just wanna do more editing to most parts.

I do have a 5.9 Cummins modeled and jbeamed for the d series, so I suppose I can add it to this.

I definitely need to raise thefasia parts higher up, there’s too much gap between the top of the hood and thefascia, it needs to be a shorter “forehead” on the hood.

upload_2019-5-29_19-50-13.png Some progress, i guess kek. Made it have less of a forehead, and did some other touch up stuff.
Oh also i made the tailights more like the real explorer. (Don't mind the floating parts lol, and the poking frame, its cause i shortened the body but havent changed the frame yet.)

I also plan on adding the 4.0 V6 and the 4.6 V8 that this gen explorer had. both will have tuning and performance parts just as the vanilla engines do.

    Another Facelift?
Those guys at Gavril have really been slacking lately. Although the new engine is so much smoother and the interior atleast feels like it is worthy of being in a 2006.
(Some suggestions, could make your mod nicer)

Yeah that era explorer didnt have the largest trunk, and i felt that the roamer trunk was much too long for it to be accurate.

Awesome work! You should add the 1HD-T (4.2 Turbo diesel i6 from the Landcruiser 80 series) and the 1fz-fe (4.5 i6 from the 80 series). I feel like that the roamer also has a little bit of 1990's landcruiser DNA.
