I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I'd love to be able to do a front end conversion on the 200bx. Similar to the "cough cough" 180sx and s13 silvia front end conversion. I see two was this could potentially work either (the easy but not perfect way) #1 - is to make the ETK I-series front end compatible with the 200bx. or (the longest and hardest way) #2 - is to make a coupe version of the 200bx (250bx, 200cx, 200bx synva... i don't know any ways) with a different front end but still the same underlying front structure. that way there is a hatchback and a coupe 200bx. and you would be able to switch the parts back and forth between the two of them. --- Post updated --- Dose anyone else agree with me that this should be a thing.
...So your ideas are to either take a part from a completely different car and slap it on a car with next to no similarities and probably wouldn't even look right, or to make a completely different car purely for the sake of being to take a part or two from that and slap it on the 200bx...
I'm just saying it's been done before why doesn't beamng do it. it's a very popular modification on real world cars (example pic)
Because it would require a whole other vehicle to be made... way too much work for something so simple.
Have you tried to make a vehicle? Probably not. Go teach yourself some blender and try to make a car that deforms properly. Then come back here crying about how hard it was. Try to atleast know what you are talking out before suggesting it. Sorry for sounding rude.
For it to be made officially there would have to be another silvia looking car to be made for it to make sense, I think. making cars takes a while and it is up to the devs working on vehicles to decide what to create. I have seen wip mods of the sileighty you are looking for but i'm not sure if there is anything working or released. Check the "the jdm touch" mod. That mod has a sileighty in wip state at the moment. http://www.beamng.com/threads/the-jdm-touch.31473/
I have made a car but it was in maya I'm not that good with blender but I did make a vehicle with full frame and working drive line and suspension.
Nothing as long as it isn't implied that the sole reason for it is for the possibility to put the front bumper on an already existing car, its like asking the devs to make an F1 car so that you can put its tires on other cars. It seems like an incredibly roundabout way of suggesting a single part. not only that but the D series and roamer are both on the same chassis but you cant switch parts between the two of them now can you? What if we want a semi-boxy pickup truck to have the front end of a more rounded SUV, or an SUV with the chassis of a heavy duty pickup? We can't do that and that seems semi-reasonable in addition to the two vehicles already being in game and being based on the same chassis.
Maybe the two cars were painted in their already modified state, and the front ends were swapped around for fun?
There's a 200BX Twoima mod - 200BX with '88 Pessima front. Onevia? Making a '88 Pessima coupe and swap the original front with 200BX front is no problem for modders!
