This is less crying about prices than it is recognizing that what he's doing could possibly be illegal, which is profiting from a copyrighted asset.
I don't believe anyone is paying for the mod, you are paying to support him on Patreon and the mod is a bonus. Maybe if someone informed the brand he is copying they might serve him. But that's probably a stretch. You can see what he has been working on. If your too impatient to wait for the finished product it's kind of your own fault if you're not happy. Patience is a virtue.
