it's pretty blocky, looks like some of the shapes are off in some spots as well, but mabye that's just me
Yeah, I gotta agree. Im not sure, but I swear I see a lot of triangles. Negativeice, could you get us a wireframe pic?
It's generally a good idea too keep them to a minimum, as they make a lot more edges than nessicary, which is why you should mainly use quads. (Squares/rectangles) because it helps create smoother edges.
What's with everyone saying triangles are bad!? A quad is 2 polygons, aka 2 triangles, so technically he has got a LOT of triangles. Besides they are perfectly fine and needed on many models Even professional companies like Turn10 use alot of triangles. (imported from here)
That's because the model is exported and imported... Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't model those like that. Edit: That's how it looks when they are making it, no any unneeded triangles (imported from here) Screenshot taken from youtube video "The Making of Forza Motorsport 4: Car sourcing"
Oh my, whats that at the windows, pillars and turnsignal? Triangles! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Seriously dude, company the polycount on the forza car, and his car. It's way lower! so there's bound to be some triangles here and there.. Like he said, triangles aint a bad thing. Just because forza models don't have that many triangles doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
