The repository does not allow licensed vehicles, so either, you'll have the post it here on the forums, or rebage it as a gavril or bruckell.
If it becomes a Non-licensed vehicle, It would be Awesome to see a Mega cab Dually on 44's with a Raptor style fender kit. Dodge bed, Ford cab, Chevy front clip, That's the prettiest setup IMO.
*rates both posts agree* Yeah, you should probably rebadge it to Gavril, because mods on the repository get way more attention.
Beam? you mean BeamNG --- Post updated --- That's awesome! cause' my dad has a 2016 2500 crew cab and there really isn't much of a difference between them!
i thought it was going to be a 3500 dually from the previous post. either way this is going to be great!
I say make the frame and other models that belong to the real truck, don't cheat and take parts from other vehicles. People will notice issues with the frame since in Beam you can actually *big shocker* flip the vehicle over and take a look at the undersides. All suspension components, axles, the frame, ect., all of the underside components should be modeled for this vehicle. Very rarely can I say its a good idea to pull a frame from another vehicle unless; The frame is practically the same dimensions, type, and the correct suspension components are modeled and made for it. And I can't think of a second reason Just model it. It's worth your time and effort, and pays off to say "Yeah I modeled that! " I am watching this project, let me know when you get to the JBeam phase, I can be of some assistance here. And to everyone else who's here... Don't chase this guy away by telling him "MODEL A DODGE BODY OR FORD BODY AND BLEND THEM AND CALL IT A GAVRIL!!!! !!!" or anything remotely like this. The author has stated his/her interest for what the mod should be named, and there's nothing stopping a forum release of this assuming he uses the Chevrolet badges and naming. We already had one thread go haywire over modeling controversies, naming suggestions, and all just way, waaay to much peer pressure that drove the author insane and made him quit BeamNG modding. I assume most of you who were involved in the derailment of that thread are also looking at this one. Don't drive this guy insane. To the OP; Good luck, again I am watching the project, and if you have any questions, let me know, and also don't be afraid to post questions in the "Mod Support" subforum.
