This is pretty epic! Love it, i do prefer this over the Land Rover but there is a few things that i think should be adjusted. Dont know if this has been mentioned before but the low beams cut off very weirdly and also the rear bumper is just too weak, the top part breaks off easily
dude just look at the picture, idk how to explain it better, the top part of the light just cuts off, it doesnt fade out smoothly
Ok, I have been working all day long on fixing things and adding others...hopefully the update will be available today, but if it's not the case, here is a sample
I still don't understand if you are talking about the light texture, the mod uses a custom texture for extra realism its better than a cone of light illuminating the path ahead of you "bug" report: no light texture for foglamps and the lights on the pushbar
And here's the update. I've been trying to solve the exhaust issue to no avail, the moment I 'fix' it, one engine node starts to emit smoke... I'm feeling frustrated since I managed to fix some issues, but now new ones are coming in, including in this update...anyway, change list: Added more SR5 parts Chrome inserts in front grill Side SR5 logos More grey plastic parts inside Simplified overhead console without TRD Pro controls Replaced transfer gear stick with SR5 switch Added SR5 roofrack (NON FUNCTIONAL) Added paintable plastic insert in the tailgate (where the 4Runner logo sits) Added SR5 spare wheel Gearbox tuned 10AT, diesel 5AT, 10AT (thanks to @default0.0player ) Differential tuned LSD correctly, added electronic diff lock on open diff and locking diff (thanks to @default0.0player ) Configuration all factory models use open front diff, rear diff may differ in different trims (thanks to @default0.0player ) Base coilovers' ride heights adjusted (thanks to @dumpling ) Added "S" gear back in the 5-Speed transmission(thanks to @dumpling ) TRD Pro Towing config is now added with diesel engine option (thanks to @dumpling ) Steering and interior camera adjustments (thanks to @Gobi Masala ) Filled gap behind front fenders Fixed body being still attached to frame after being torn apart Adjusted underside to give room to transmission Fixed chrome parts not being chromed enough Fixed rear suspension collapsing when the engine is torn away Fixed rear suspension collapsing after a big drop Headlights now detach more realistically Engine pulleys look improved So, some big issues were fixed, regarding the rear suspension and the fully detachment of the body and frame, but again, I can' fix the exhaust (I can't believe is this hard!) and even worse, both the TRD Pro and SR5 roofracks/roofbars are non functional for the moment. In the Defender, it only took 10 minutes to implement after the mesh was done, I simply took the Wendover code (for example) adjusted the nodes, the loads, and done. In here, no matter what I try, for some reason, it just wrecks the entire game. So unless I can be helped here, sorry but those issues are to stay I'm afraid...
I think you forgot to adjust the first person camera for the sr5 version. Its in the "t4runner_dash_stock" part.
Also the 4runner doesnt have an "S" mode and "1" and "2" in the gearbox. The "S" gear in toyotas are manual +/- modes for automatics and it only increases the throttle response so its basically the "M" gear equivalent in beamng. The shifting feels a bit slow and also it doesnt shift until around 2,900 rpm no matter how light the throttle input is. I tried changing the numbers in the transmision file but couldnt figure out how to fix it. The rims are also a little bit too big. The real 4runner has 17x7 rims for both the sr5 and trd with 265/70 tires.
Excuse me, but the transmission tuning is really messed up in this update, you should have done some test driving before uploading the file
You may have partial dumpling partial default0.0player files related to transmission First, is the "t4runner.jbeam". This file specifies the controller used in this vehicle. Either "vehicleController" that is BeamNG-Official, or "vehicleController_t4runnr" that is modded. I specified that the modded lua is not needed so the "controller" in the "t4runner.jbeam" should be "vehicleController", and it's indeed "vehicleController". Secondly, is the "vehicleController" in "t4runner_transmission.jbeam" I see that partially "vehicleController" partly "vehicleController_t4runnr", this contradicts the "vehicleController" in "t4runner.jbeam" and causing problems. Finally, is the presence of "vehicleController_t4runnr.lua" and "shiftLogic-automaticGearbox_t4runnr.lua" in the lua folder. Since the separation of aggression calculation is not needed, only "shiftLogic-automaticGearbox_t4runnr.lua" file is needed --- Post updated --- The base model SR5 should use both open diff instead of LSD The tire pressure is way to low, causing tremendous drag, please inflate them to 24psi to be able to cruise at 100~120km/h at highest gear
Sorry, this is definitely due to my fault, I simply copied the transmission file from older updates that included the "S" gear. No. He just explained that the roof racks don't work unless someone can help him. --- Post updated --- May I ask where di you find this information? The official spec sheet doesn't seem to be directly pointing out which differential type the models have. Thank you.
And that just happened Special thanks to @Agent_Y for his help fixing important issues on this also very important update! Added tinted glass (Standard on Sport config) Added black out Toyota/4Runner badging (Standard on Sport config) Added alternate running boards (Standard on Off-Road config) Added missing transfer case mesh Added support for loads to both roof racks Fixed exhaust emitting smoke in wrong places Improved hood hinges Fixed game console being spammed with errors Fixed foglight causing FPS to drop due to a missing texture causing multiple errors Added missing headlight frames Fixed floating headlight access covers after pulling the headlights out Standardized/Fixed all latest contributions to transmission files (thanks to @default0.0player ) Added camera fixes to all dashes (thanks to @Gobi Masala )
As far as I know, none of the 4runners came with limited slip diff. They all came with some sort of brake activated traction control which helps limit wheel slippage, but there was never a true LSD. I believe the SR5 has just a transfercase while the TRD has a rear locking differential.
