If you're still looking to add some more content to another update, then how about revisiting my ideas of a V8 engine swap, and/or the Tacoma TRD Pro 8-spoke wheels and Tundra TRD Pro 5-spoke wheels? Sorry if I am being redundant, but I'd figure I should bring those up again as they would definitely bring more variety over to the 4Runner. Even though the former would require proper torque curves from the proper channels and aligning the V8 engine mesh into the engine bay (similar to the I4 engine swap added recently), the latter would be as simple as extracting the Forza Horizon 5 models and getting them in-game (properly sized and textured in the process). For reference, while the 4Runner's 6-spoke wheels are 17-inch, the Tacoma's 8-spokes are 16-inch and the Tundra's 5-spokes are 18-inch. Since the mod supports both 5-lug and 6-lug wheels, they can be added to a few custom configurations as well. Either way, the mod continues to become better, both in terms of content and features
Just an FYI since people have asked a bit. I intend to to do the 2.7 i4(2TR-FE) and at least one of the i4 turbo diesels(from the hilux). Aswell as the Tacoma V6 and Tundra V8. It's just a time factor between me and jorge.
New here, and made an account just for this mod. I've been messing around with it, and as a 4runner owner myself, I find that the crawl control ESC mode is pretty much next to useless. It has ZERO power and kinda defeats the whole point. I've tried it on simple obstacles and the vehicle just gets stuck and the wheels don't even attempt to spin. Am I missing something here? Or is this a limitation of BeamNG itself? Regardless I love the mod and look forward to seeing improvements made to it!
I tried to edit my other post but wasn't able to; Here's an example. In "Rock" and 4lo it can make it up this no problem. In "crawl control" it just stops when it should really act the exact same way, but be "automated". All crawl control really does is act as cruise control at super low speed (1-5mph) while using the traction control to keep the wheel spin down.
The "Crawl Control" is really useless now, and I have no idea how to make the real version of it. I limited throttle and wheelspin when I tried to create it but that turned out to be defective, so I just have to remove the mode for now. I'm sorry.
No worries at all, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something on my end! I think we really just need a mod that is a "slow speed" cruise control that can be set as slow as 1mph and that would more or less act as crawl control.
V8's in. Next step, the rims! (Note: This is still a WIP, not available yet!) Don't worry, if it's possible we'll eventually get it right somehow, I'm sure
Crawl control is not highly requested and the implementation is not easy, thus this mod crawl control is not needed
