Okay. After lengthy consideration and contemplation, I've decided to scrap my original intent on bringing in 6 year old meshes that I and others created for GTA modding. Instead, I will be creating all-new models of my own, specifically for BeamNG. So, this thread will remain open (If devs allow) to show my work and collect ideas of what you, the player, would like to see brought into BeamNG Drive in the way of additions and custom parts for the vehicles within the game. RULES: 1. It must be something that hasn't been requested or is currently in the works from other creators. 2. Unless you want it done MY way, you must provide reference photos. 3. You must understand that this is something I'm doing in my spare time. I am, by far, no professional modeler. I'm doing this because I want to learn how to mesh well, like some of the other very talented modelers in this community. 4. If I decline your request, it's for a good reason. Seeing as I'm not doing this for money (I'm doing this for fun and for practice) I don't have to taker your request. (Chances are I will though.) Edit - Due to another huge project I've got going on, I've temporarily suspended all requests for the time being. I can't determine at this point when I will be able to begin again, but it shouldn't be more than a week or two. Can't say for sure though. I will update as often as I can on when I will be able to continue. But I will return and continue making meshes for you guys. Sorry about the delay, but priorities are exactly that. Priorities.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. You are amazing at this stuff! I'd love to see it keep rolling in
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Update! Version 2, after adding some intricate details and the like, repositioning a few things and resizing them. (imported from here) More to come! Apparently the IMG link got broken somehow. Either way, edited to fix.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Update! I introduce.... toolboxes! (imported from here) Also added another few planks to the upper front, close to the cab.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. It's not difficult when you use basic shapes and have a general concept of how to use 3Ds. Bear in mind, these are only the models themselves. Haven't even begun to scratch the super shiny metallic surface on how to get them into the game. That's the scary part that... heh... I have no clue how to do. Yet.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Sounds like you got a long frustrating and eventually rewarding journey ahead of yourself
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Yep. And... if anyone would like to help... I'd appreciate it. Heh.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. if anybody out there knows how to port models into BeamNG from 3DSmax and make them work, please for the sake of humanity help husky!
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Version 2 of the Steel Utility Bed. (imported from here) And with that, I think I'm done for tonight.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. I smell youre very experienced in 3D Modelling whats very awesome! great work on this piece.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Looks great! I have a suggestion if you'd like to consider it. I think it would be awesome if you made a street sweeper body for the Gavril H-series that would take place of the box on the box truck. It would be extra cool if you also had like brushes and stuff to go on the bottom, if possible.
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. A street sweeper? I'm not sure I follow you. Example? (Unless this is sarcasm...)
Re: 3D Mesh Models - A continuous WIP. Here are some picture examples (except the cab on the H-series would look a bit different because the engine is in front of the cockpit): http://static.ddmcdn.com/gif/street-sweeper21.jpg http://www.cityofhaydenid.us/vertic...ds/{84C2EC1D-D016-44DD-9EFD-C5381E045DB5}.JPG http://www.cherokeetruck.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/streetsweeper-truck.jpg And possibly a D-15 version: http://www.mascosweepers.com/images/1600econo_GMCsm_2010.jpg
