Hi guy i want to know what you think is the best bet

my 7950 is at 40% load on most map and at best 70%

I want to upgrade to a new cpu from my fx 6300

It will be overclocked to the max i can..

So i think the i5 4690k is probably the best bet except the lower default clock but they normally overclock as good as the i7 that turbo to 4.4

i7 4790k cost 100$ more i dont think Beam ng really benefit from this??

5820k the mobo ram upgrade i can do it but there is no x99 mobo that i like for their price they look bad to me.... 5820k as a low number of pci line.... mobo have 6-8 phase all stuck together price..... and the i5 i7 beat it in singlethread....

    What you think of that?

the only thing that using the i7 would do is give you a higher max vehicles spawned at once without major fps loss (more cores) and even then, the i5 will still keep the fps playable for a few more vehicles, so the i5 4690K will be plenty for you

    It's definitely not a $100 benefit.

4790k and the 3770k got it i think

it 4.0 base clock and turbo to 4.4 but i heard some people running it at 4.4 on stock cooler so it impressive :D

im set on the I5 4690k only thing is the mobo Gigabyte z97 GT 260$ with the onboard audio and plx chip or the sabertooth mark 2 180$

I do some folding@home so the plx chip i think could help me with multiple gpu im unsure

And with that im going to slap an h100i because i want one ahaha 3 years warantly

160$ for 8 phase wow i just googled it! pretty impressive for the price ;)

But the sabertooth is only 30$ more so i think i will take it..

The reason why i like the gigabyte is the PLX chip i think im not sure that it can help me with FOLDING@HOME on multiple gpu at the same time i play?

no, plx most likley won't make it so you can play and fold at the same time, thats up to the power of the gpu itself

i personally would just get the asus i linked, it's plenty for what you want to do (overclocking, gaming, folding and all that)

Just to add to the i7 vs i5 debate, the biggest benefit is hyperthreading. Here are the results enabled/disabled with my i7 2600k:

    B25DnIJh.jpg
So, my 2600k with all of the same settings and system config outside of hyperthreading enabled/disabled can run one more D15 in realtime with hyperthreading. On the newer arch chips I assume the % gain in max MBeams/s will be about the same, but overall both the i5 and i7 should outdo my older chip here. Up to you if it is worth the extra money.

And PLX chips are known to cause microstutter and instability in some games. Only really good if you're going absolutely insane with multiple video cards. Avoid if you can.

Can you try in game and check if there is a real difference in fps with the truck? Hum that a big difference with the banana benchmark but ingame?

    - - - Updated - - -

i want to be able to have like 5 vehicle on the map at 40 fps + with 3 hatcback 2 pickup + a truck im at 18 fps

So i5 4690k vs 4790k here both will be overclocked.

I think the i5 still win

I5-4690k will handle that without a sweat, just be sure to also have a decent gpu so you don't get bottlenecked

If 18 fps is what your getting with your amd cpu, youll get much more playable fps with the i5-4690k over your amd with those vehicles all spawned at once

If you render videos and stuff a lot, and need hyperthreading, then go for the i7-4790k, otherwise the i5-4690k will handle everything fine

7950 dual x was at 1100core but got to rma... the gpu clock was getting stuck after some 24/7 day...

Now i will see how far this one go... but at stock in game im at 40-70% so there is clearly a bottleneck even if the vehicle rendering is pretty synch the fps is low...

    Thank you
