I created a mod that turns the RWD Barstow to 4WD. I added (you have to add it manually CTRL+W): - New engine with a new transmission and with the pickup transfercase - A new front suspension with a front driveshaft - And a radiator but this doesnt matter now The problem is whenever the mod is active EVERY other Barstow without these equipped parts doesnt run. I used the torque app to see the modded cars torque map is fine but every other Barstow's isnt. I see theres a dummy shaft in the original cars map but why? And where in the files? If you can help me solve this problem you might see me posting mods in the future. Im learning to create mods so im not that good at it. Thanks for helping! <3
Hi there, Nice to see that you are playing around with the files. Some tips: Do not overwrite official stuff, your engine, suspension, diffs and driveshaft overwrite the official ones. That is why they don't work. For example: Code: "barstow_engine_v8": { "information":{ "authors":"BeamNG", "name":"V8 Engine Slowgergo", "value":990, } barstow_engine_v8 is what the game sees as engine name. Same goes for the driveshaft. if you rename it to (original name)_slowgergo, it should work
Thank you so much!! I have been looking forever for what did i screw up. Im so glad you helped me! I fixed it and it works like a charm. When im done with the Barstow i will make a 4wd Moonhawk. Thanks again!
cleaned up the file, removed unnecessary parts, new filename, new jbeam names, made gearbox compatible with all barstow engines.
