Test system is Minisforum BD790IX3D M/B Ryzen R9 7945HX3D 16 Core 32 Thread with 128MB X3D Cache 96GB Corsair DDR5-5200 2TB MSI M570 Pro SSD The CPU is a low power version of a 7950X3D (limited to 100w TDP) Graphics cards used are: Asus TUF RTX 5090 OC MSI Ventus 3X OC RTX 5070Ti Asus Prime RTX 5070 OC Settings used were Tests were run at 3840x2160 (4K) Since there is no built in benchmarks I took frame rate data from certain points in the maps, then averaged them out. While I haven't uploaded all the videos of the tests you can see an example of the type of tests I run. Also about Vulkan. I have presented the results here in Vulkan. But I wanted to talk about Vulkan vs Direct 3D. When it comes to high end hardware, in order to get the most amount of performance in beam you need to use Vulkan. It allows better use of the GPU and thus higher frame rates. I don't have D3D vs Vulkan for all the 3 cards on the 7945HX3D yet, but i'll post the following chart showing a 285K with RTX 5090 at 4K settings using both Direct 3D and Vulkan The heavy resource maps (Like West coast and Los Injurus) Gain huge amounts of performance when going from direct 3D to Vulkan. In lighter maps (Like automation) Vulkan mode is actually a bit slower with minimal cars spawned, but once a bunch of AI cars are spawned Vulkan mode is always superior (with one exception, more on that later) With that out of the way here are the GPU charts Obviously the RTX 5090 is the fastest card, but there was a few anomalies. For whatever reason when spawning 40 cars in the heavy maps like west coast and Los Injurus the performance with the 5090 was actually less than the 5070ti and 5070. I redid the test a few times and got the same results, not sure it's performing that way but it is. One other standout is the 5070 results in Los Injurus. The other maps all easily had less than 12GB of VRAM being used, but Los Injurus at 4K uses 12GB or slightly over. You can see how the performance tanks with no cars, and once you add some AI cars in it turns in to a slide show. The 5070Ti however is the sweet spot for performance, you can max everything out and get playable frame rates at 4K with it. I have tons of more data that I'll be posting in the coming weeks once I get it all sorted out (CPU vs CPU) GPU CPU scaling ect.
