50fps to 20

Hey guys
I haven't posted for awhile bit im having a strange issue that hasn't happened before.Up until today I was running the game at roughly 40-55fps on dry rock island.Today for some reason my fps can barely hit 22fps (jumps to 64 with physics paused).I didn't change any settings,using the same car (covet) running the same temperatures and cpu/gpu usage is the same(cpu is always at 80-100% with this game).I even dropped everything to lowest settings and it jumped 1fps I can't figure out whats happening.
Cpu-core2duo e8500 3.16ghz
Gpu-xfx r7250x 1gb
4gb ram

 

I'm not really sure how you got 50 FPS... Oh well, I'll take your word for it.
Assuming something changed with your machine, change it back. Remember, have nothing else running with BeamNG.drive.
Assuming the 40-55 FPS was a bit exaggerated, upgrade. Maybe to a Core 2 Extreme. If your motherboard can handle it. Otherwise, you'll need a new motherboard as well as a new CPU.

 

Well i don't know how accurate the in game fps reader is but playing with the covet race with glass removed most settings at low (lighting and shader at lowest) on 720p dry rock island was rarely below 35fps.I wasn't aware that was considered high.
Replacing the processor is out of the question its less than a month old as is the gpu(wanted to try my hand at upgrading,cpu was 28$ couldn't pass it up).
Anyways,my issue is I didn't change anything.I went to work,came home,turned it on played.nothing else was running.

 

Well it randomly started working again.I can post a video of My fps if it seems like im lieing. Dry rock seems to be one of maybe 3 maps I can hit those fps.

 

That makes no sense as DryRockIsland is on the worst performing maps in the game, along with East Coast... Gridmap [the test-y style map] would be a better choice to get better FPS.. and some community maps are made with more FPS in mind.

 

It doesn't make sense to me either,I don't browse the forum much so I had no idea.Mind you if I switch to the pickup or similar my fps goes down to 20,but the covet I rarely see below 25 on dry rock.

Ok this is odd,Gridmap is around 20-35 for me,insane testing barely goes over 25,canyon of speed 30-60,dry rock 25-50.I'll have to test more later.
