So earlier this week, I got myself one of the new Nvidia Super cards to replace my dated GTX 970.

I was hoping that this would solve the issues with framedrops in the Delivery missions... but unfortunately not.

I am somehow averaging at 40FPS, which remained somewhat unchanged from before and after I upgraded my GPU.

I was only aware recently about the Performance Graph BeamNG has, and it seems like the performance is strongly CPU bottlenecked.

But... relatively speaking, the 5800x is a rather recent CPU that should be able to have good performance numbers but I just don't see it here.

These are my Traffic Settings (to note, it's mostly on Auto).

Plus, it's not like my CPU is overheating or anything. It's running gently with a max of 69 degrees C (nice).

So to anyone who owns this AMD CPU, do you also experience similar issues with performance too?

    To add to this too...

Without traffic, my FPS count seems to only hit 60 on average in West Coast... Which seems absurdly low.

    What's going on here?? upload_2024-2-7_17-38-27.png

To any BeamNG support person who may look at this, this is my Support ID.

Hello, very high or ultra graphics settings to to put a lot of pressure on the cpu, and West Coast is the most intensive map in the game. I observe similar framerates using my slightly weaker 5700G, so I would call these results expected. To improve CPU performance, make sure you are using the Vulkan renderer (though it seems you already are) and try knocking the following graphics settings down a notch (I tested all of them while writing this) : Mesh Quality, Shadows Visiblity (Partial looks almost identical to Full), Motion Blur (gains are extremely small but noticeable), Dynamic Reflections Update Rate (this makes a MASSIVE difference), Dynamic Reflections Detail, Dynamic Reflections Distance (big difference too), and if you're desperate, Maximum Voices (unnder Audio) and Simplified Collisions (not recommended, under Gameplay). If you have CK Graphics Mod installed, you can also try messing with the LOD Bias, Shadows Resolution and Terrain Quality settings, though I'm unable to test the effects fo you right now, as this mod seems to cause progressive performance loss on my machine.
