It would be RIVETING to see a "High Roller" version of the '89 Pessima, with a 5L V8 engine, tribal/casino decals on the side and hood, and a special "High Roller" badge on the back and a Royal Flush hand badge on the side. And some sawblade rims, too.
if it was a hatch back you could throw a big block in the back and make it rwd. i saw a civic hatch with a v6 in the back and there was PLENTY of room left over.i have also personally seen a 3.5 liter v6 in a civic engine bay as well. thats a little tight.
a V6 if youre very lucky, a small V8 would probably fit (if you keep the bore down) but to get the displacement up you would have to increase the stroke, so it would be a small V8 a V6 would be a tight squeeze
"a bit bigger" Are you alright in there? http://engineswap.wpengine.netdna-c...ine-vs-LS3-V8-size-comparison-01-1024x567.jpg
...Actually a decent sized V8 might fit, the engine bay doesn't actually seem that small, the engine bay is just about the size of the the biggest engine for the barstow, but it would be a very tight fit and the maximum steering angle might need to be reduced to fit the engine in and the transmission would have to be partially in the interior(or a single speed transmission with no reverse might fit) and I can't imagine that being in such a tight space would be good for cooling but otherwise it seems like it would work
it wouldn't answer what at all? He wanted a big V8 in an economy car, he never said he wanted more than one gear.
The problem is, I have found NO car with just 1 gear, even the Peel P50 has 3, so what do you think giving that to a V8 would do?
maybe not any normal car, but some racing vehicles have only one gear, and I mostly said it as a joke.
