I believe the ratings system is amazing as is (I can't just "like" something, there's more than that) But I believe there should be something a bit more prestigious than a "Like" So here's the basics of my idea: - You get 5 Gold Stars each month, on the 1st. - You may use all 5, or you may use none; as they will stack up (5 left one month = 10 the next month) - It will be a ratings option, slightly offset from the normal ones, such as "like", "Agree", etc. - It would also be available to use for mods (if this is implemented, NinetyNine is about to get a lot of gold stars) - Once given, they cannot be taken away, so be careful Overall, I feel like this would be a great idea to give credit to someone for having something truly amazing, either made or said. Also, for mods, there could be a sorting - thing so you can see which mods have the most gold stars.
Nah, I see that becoming controversial quite quickly. Although limiting positive ratings would be nice.
Yeah, but this would make other people feel stupid. Like you said. (NinetyNine is about to get a lot of gold stars). Lets say he gets 15 gold stars in a week for uploading a new mod. And someone else. (For example- I might do this might not) I upload a mod, same quality. same everything, basically an equal mod. I only get 5 stars for my mod in a week. I'll feel confused, since I had basically the same mod as NinetyNine, and take it a different way.
Good idea but the current ratings system is fine IMO, people just have to learn how to use it instead of 5-star rating every single 5 minute config mod.
A Disagree button would help, I remember once I was on a Terraria server forums, so there was a ban appeal made by a banned person, the appeal was denied by the staff because of 'Editing' which is against the rules, I gave the admin a disagree button so he asked me why, I told him 'He edited to fix some words spelling' , but the admin then explained the rule to me that 'No editing what ever is the reason'.
