A more thorough guide to adjusting properties to suspension/wheels/tires/etc?

I do know of the one page on the BeamNG wiki that explains how to find the several basic variables (beamstrength, precompression, deform etc) and a quick explanation of what they do. However, there's alot more to it. For example, increasing the steering isnt as simple as bringing up the variable if you want sick cornering, because something goes bad in the front end (maybe the tie rods). After some time, both front wheels toe-in after some time of abuse on lateral-heavy drifts. I already increased the strength and made the deform slower, and I do know that there are more than one of these sets of variables. So I've pined them down via the search method on notepad and changed them all, so there's at least two of the same type of beam that's going. any idea what they may be? I'm using the moonhawk "v8 special" preset, modified SOHC power band, 655 ft-lb @ 5k, with modified manual 5 gear trans 2.44, 2.04, 1.54, 1.08, 0.7. tires 44/39 psi. 360 afterglow

Also, I have failed to increase the ride height, even after finding the variable name "rideheight". I'm lost..

 

but there is no rideheight variable? You need to alter the precompression values for the suspension beams.

 

I remember it being that or along the lines of it. I have done pre compression, and there are multiple of these and changed all. It has lowered it, but haven't seen it raise it.
