IMO, next maps shoud be focused in other areas of the world, since all the maps we have avaliable right now on the game are in USA, except the ETK center. I know that Italy is coming, but also WCU, and we have a lot of different amazing places in the world, like Japan, Spain, Russia, Norway, etc for next maps
While I agree with you I also agree with the op. Rural East Coast USA (as it should be renamed to because its more accurate) is a small part of the United States. What most people don't realize is that the North American continent has a lot of different climates. If your willing to drive through Canada the United States alone has everything from Arctic tundra in Alaska (where it can snow in July) to muddy swamps of Louisiana to the hot dry deserts of Utah to the prairies of Nebraska to the Rockies Mountains of Colorado and the Temperate Forest of Maine.(not in order) But things in Europe are a bit different most of main land Europe is Temperate Forest or Tundra mixed with Mountains. To my limited knowledge main land Europe dose not have a significant swamp areas over 1000 sq miles (imperial units I know) and the only true desert areas are around Turkey. Now I may not know a famous area inside of main land Europe that is a giant swamp or a giant desert but I don't believe there is to my limited knowledge. Now this does not mean I don't want to see outside of the United States I'm just providing a explanation of why Europe and the rest of the world may not be in the game compared to what 7 maps in game that are officially set in the United States. The United States just like China and Russia have just about every type of environment in the world within their boarders with all types of human conditions (such as city's, towns or lack of either). I want to see Europe, South America, Asia, Oceania, Middle East and European roads, towns and city's but The United States is what most people are familial from a modern game-play perspective and that's probably why we have so many United State maps.
Because Russian mods are terrible and you don't want to represent Russia in BeamNG? Or is it a problem with the terrain? It doesn't have to be Russia. I think if they were to add colder places, they'd have to add weather like tweaked sunlight levels for nothern latitudes and cloud cover, hard to do when most mod maps have a fixed weather skybox. A swamp would give us terrain we haven't experienced much, and new textures. What is more, this would give mappers new assets to use. Maybe we'd even get a trailer park. While I'm stoking your desires, what if the mud was able to swallow a car? What if the swamp water was so opaque you couldn't see 2 feet under its surface? Imagine driving through the cattails.
It was a joke, I guess. A map in Russia may be fun, if done by Beam itself. A Russia map made by Russians would not.
Dont give them (WoM and modsgaming) any ideas... I think they try to make terrains, and from what I've seen, they suck. Sorry for that bit of offtopic. I would love to see a new map somewhere like in the alps, or in the North American Rocky Mountains tbh. Alot of opportunity for exciting route layouts and interesting challenges for drivers that would come with the game, instead of being a mod that they'd have to download. Those aren't based in any real world locations. They're testing maps for testing content.

I would love a map with ice In the mechanical revolution we said we are in a mechanical universe. We are currently in the software revolution and theories about the universe as a simulation are common. I probably could go on another one of my philosophical rants, but this time I'll just leave two comments. A) if we are a simulation, are the aliens/programmers/whatever also in a simulation? If so, what about their programmers? And so on. Most people choose the not okay infinite regression to answer that unfortunately. B) what happens when the aliens run out of memory and need to upgrade their hard drive? What about when they need to upgrade their graphics card? If it wasn't obvious, one of those was more serious than the other
