Add black hole to list of gravity options? Or at the very least a nuetron star or such? The sun is very powerful, but would be neat to see the vehicles get almost completely flattened. Does the game model deformations to that extreme where the gravity is so intense that the electrons cave in on themselves and the individual nucleus of each atom bump into one another?
Well, for a black hole we could just switch the geometry from 3d to 2d (ultimate pancake) and the result would be almost correct . More or less, the same applies for a neutron star too.
What if there was some sort of movable gravity source, so instead of gravity acting just up and down in the Z axis, it would pull towards (or push away from) a defined 'gravity point'? Could be cool to see cars and objects being pulled to one point. Obviously you have better things to be getting on with, but if its not too much trouble... *Edit* Just thought, how cool would it be if the gravity point thing was possible, then you could do Super Mario Galaxy style levels! So the cars could drive around a small planet, then jump off a ramp and be caught in anothers gravity pull! Again, probably too far fetched and away from the games direction, but still awesome to think about.
Hey I remember in CryEngine SDK sandbox you could do a directional gravity tunnel... and set the g values... Would be interesting to build a massive particle collider and use the cars as raw material... Is a sonic boom modeled in this game if something were going faster than mach?
