So I just found out that the auto-center behavior for the driver camera mode was changed in 0.25 so that it will only work with the car in movement, and revert to default behavior when it's stopped. This is kinda unfortunate to me, as I actually found auto-center with the car stopped useful in some situations (like looking around a corner in intersections with poor visibility with traffic enabled, or before reversing so i didn't have to reach for the keyboard) and specially with a thumbstick, where you could control the degrees of rotation at any moment. The way it is now seems useful only to look at all the pretty interior details of the cars, or maybe set up a scene, but pretty much useless when driving. Specially with how slow the camera movement is. And I can't seem a way to change the camera speed for this specific camera mode only. I think the best way to keep everyone happy would be to have two separate check boxes: one for auto-center with a moving vehicle, and another for when the vehicle is stopped. Or have a master auto-center box with the option of enabling or disabling it for stopped vehicles. For now, it would be nice if someone could indicate me a way to get the old behavior back (that hopefully didn't consist of downgrading to a previous version, I'm very much enjoying this update other than this little detail). Although this seems unlikely without tinkering with the actual code of the game.
Note that there are interior triggers in the scintilla, it's probably the main reason it was implemented. I do agree it should be toggleable though.
