Does beamng ai traffic use the gpu to render the car or the cpu as in reflection and colour, detail etc.
GPU does all the 3d rendering effects CPU does the shadows, requires rendering to be done twice* CPU also gives gpu instructions on what the render, the more fps, the more instruction it needs to give. CPU does calculation on physics for every car per thread/cores VRAM is also a big factor as it require 8GB++ RAM plays a big factor with more traffic -- All cpu have a "headroom" factor, meaning how much you can spare to do other things; these other things will be used in traffic in beamng -- if your next question is whats the best combination of cpu and gpu? probably any higher end intel or amd cpu combined with a lower tiered gpu (i5-13600K + 6700XT etc) just look at benchmark videos by known youtubers/reviewers to get a rough idea of what parts are good
So I am planning on getting a new build so can you tell me if this is good: -i9 13900KF -RTX 4070Ti Asus TUF OC -ROG STRIX Z790 DDR5 -64GB DDR5 Ram -850W PSU
No that's a waste of money, your existing i7 12700kf and RTX 3080ti are more than enough. The 4070 Ti is only about 13% faster than the 3080 Ti
Yeah I guess you are right because I can buy it but cannot justify it due to me already running West coast USA on 1440p ultra at 100fps and my DDR5 32GB Kit is good so overall thanks so much man. Also my 3080ti is a Founders edition which is OP. Another thing is I get that decent framerate with the CK Graphics mod with the extended lod to eliminate te pop in
yeah wouldn't upgrade now.. likewise I've been thinking of upgrading my cpu but if its like a big upgrade then sure yknow but if its too small, not worth the cost
