This mod adds AI traffic compatibility to @james_uk 's Driver 1: New York map. It is NOT a standalone map and requires the original map installed in order to run. To install, you can now just drag the mod into your mods folder as usual; I have updated it to no longer require manual patching of the base map. Do not redistribute this mod without my permission. Please reply if you run into any issues or need help.
This did work for me, most certainly I do remember driving with 32 traffic cars on this map. Perhaps there is something related to mod loading order then as it is possible original mod overwrites some of the new additions. Might be that ai path files need to be unpacked to levels folder for them to work I am not entirely 100 percent certain about this though.
What do you mean? Does it stop the map from working entirely or is there just no AI support with the cars staying still, as there was before I made the mod? Edit: I just scrubbed the folder in my Levels directory to double-confirm that the game was reading the AI traffic from the mod and not from there, and it is still working as intended; I am running a clean install of the Driver map plus my mod, replacing the version I edited manually. You are doing the same, right? If you were one of the few people who downloaded the first version of the mod that was up for less than a day, which required you to unzip, patch and rezip the original map by hand, using the modified map file in addition to the new mod would explain why it is broken.
the map loads, but ai traffic just doesnt spawn no matter what, it doesnt stand still, it just doesnt exist and the loading screen stays forever while i can still drive my car
Try clear cache maybe? Ive had that issue before on another map where the loading icon gets stuck on the screen, but i dont remember how i fixed it
i can fix the loading screen by pressing f5, but once i removed the mod from my folder, ai started working again
