Alpha_prerace Update Failing (Standalone program)

Hello, I'll make this short and sweet. I'm posting a new thread because only one previously posted thread (here) covers this particular error, and that thread did not help solve my problem.

I recently deleted the Steam version of BeamNG because it was impossible to update it to the "pre-race update." There was no updater in the files, and I had the newest version pushed through the Steam servers. I downloaded the standalone program, but it contains only basic core componets, no actual .exe in order to launch the game. (Even the "Run BeamNG.Drive" check box at the end of the setup program did nothing, even returning no errors.) So I assumed the game needs to be updated to add all the missing componets. (I believe the setup program runs the update program before "finishing," but, like everything else, nothing happened.)

Apon running BeamNG.Update, I am presented with this error while antivirus is enabled: torrent_error| temporary ERROR: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request

This error appears when all antivirus/anti-malware/etc. is completely disabled: torrent_error| temporary ERROR: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it



I attached the update.log in case you want to take a look for yourself. This is with antivirus completely disabled, creating the "target machine actively refused it" error.

 

Standalone updater doesn't work anymore, discontinued.


The most recent steam stable build was prerace.
The newer features like t75 and sunburst etc weren't in prerace. They are in the steam experimentals build available from the betas tab in game properties.
