Both Providence and Rehoboth get a massive upgrade (with more homes, roads, and commercial), and one of the new areas from the upgrade was Swansea (which later became it's own city). Also, thanks to the major upgrade and Revision, the population reached a whopping 379. This upgrade helped Rehoboth become much more successful. (JPBNG, I will be fine with pictures as long as you still describe what happened that year)
The different streets are named, the two most prominent being Winthrop Street and Bay Street. John Hyde nearly is killed in a carriage accident, and his leg is amputated. He later writes a book about his life as a cripple. Lord Crestwood decides to establish his own settlement, Sabin Pond, about 1 mile outside of Rehoboth. It has a population of 26.
One of the new areas gets a name as well - Seekonk (which also became it's own city way in the future). The population also now increased even more to 455, thanks to the plentiful amount of completed houses in this major upgrade. Lastly, the city builds a few agricultural farms as to add more to their food supply.
(I'll keep this thread alive by continuously replying to myself unless someone decides they want to jump in) 1681: Joseph Peck dies of a seizure, though nobody knew how it happened at the time. Seekonk and Swansea also get their own motel and newspaper stations, which helped increase tourism. Lastly, Reheboth's population is now at 482 (a few of the 27 moved from Providence to Rehoboth).
Swansea and Seekonk also now have police stations, and Rehoboth upgrades it's town hall. Along with that, Oliver Hall is now replaced by his son, Henry Hall.
Rehoboth's population is now at 500, and a new school, present-day Cedar Brook School, is built. --- Post updated --- (I guess I'll do the replying to myself thing too) 1687: The school burns in a fire, it happened at night and nobody was hurt. The population grows to 516, and among the new residents is Lawrence Franklin, who eventually becomes a famous inventor.
The city also installs a university (Lawrence Franklin University) and a paper company factory.
The citizens revolt against the British government for the taxes and there is a minor civil war.
The British government agree to lower taxes, however this eventually gets violated in the 1760s. Also, Rehoboth's population has increased to 525, and Sabin Pond has been acquired by Rehoboth. (Oh cool someone else joined in)
Sabin Pond becomes a official new area of the city, and Lord Crestwood dies (succeeded by his son now labelled as Lord Adam). Also, Lawrence Franklin creates the first phone call from Rehoboth to Providence. Lastly, thanks to the increasing tourism marketing, the city's population grows to 575. --- Post updated --- 1705: Another school was made, named "Crestwood School" after Lord Crestwood (which later became a high school). The city also built another amount of roads, one of them being "Adam Street". Finally, the city decided to increase their agriculture with more farms and farmers. This bumped the population to 593.
Not much changed, although Seekonk opened the city's first "supermarket", which was a cool and contributive idea for them at the time. Population later reached 600 by that time.
John Ridley is born. He and his son, Gerald Ridley, will become key figures in the formation of the United States.
"Supermarkets" start to become a sensation in Rehoboth so much that Providence also followed on that idea.
Supermarkets spread throughout the country like wildfire, and soon every town from Boston to Georgia has one. Meanwhile word spreads about the invention of the steam engine, but it is dismissed as a fake story.
Rehoboth establishes a factory that later became the HQ of a game developer. The factory was made to mass produce tools for construction workers.
Rehoboth has become a financial and population center in the Northern Colonies, with a population of nearly 5,000. Construction starts on a tower known as "The Tower of Babel". Although the Babel Tower is tiny compared to the modern skyscrapers surrounding it, it was an ambitious goal at the time.
Parades start becoming tradition in town, including a Thanksgiving parade and anniversaries of the day it was founded. Plus, The Tower Of Babel is 10% complete. Lastly, the population is now at 5,000.
A worker is killed in the construction of the Babel, causing public opinion of the tower to drop. Meanwhile, Rehoboth now has a proper downtown, with a church directly across from the library, with the construction site a little outside. The downtown area, now a historic site, is located a kilometer or so from the modern downtown.
