Currently, to my knowledge, there are 4 vanilla vehicles (Bolide, K-Series, Covet, 90s Pessima) that can be equipped with sun strips/windshield banners. Of those 4 vehicles, the Bolide is the only one whose sun strip cannot be recoloured without modding, which I consider to be a heavy-handed solution for this use case. Although the other cars' sun strips depend on which paint design is selected, retroactively integrating the sun strip design into the paint design isn't the only solution for the Bolide, as most (if not all) vanilla cars already have another instance of the skin system active in the form of interior patterns and/or colours. Furthermore, a unique paint design slot for just the sun strip allows for the mixing and matching of sponsors ("Volitalia", "Selecta", etc) with different liveries. At the very least, if no new designs/sponsors can be added, then the existing Volitalia design should be made recolourable to match other liveries.
