Hello, I have a Ryzen 7 5800x, the PBO (precision boost overdrive) is enabled and is working for computer general use and every other application, meaning the processor is tuning its frequency depending on the load, heat, wattage, voltage and load type. Unfortunately beamNG is the only application that for some reason locks the core frequency to the base clock severely undermining performance. The moment i fire beamng the cpu starts running at base clock no matter what else i might be doing in the computer. Do you know the cause of this behavior? Have other zen 3 users experienced that ?

Open the performance graph in beamng, it should be located in the performance section of the options, and look at what component is flashing orange at the top, it's the bottleneck. If it's not your cpu it might just be that it can't go at a bigger clock because it would serve no purpose since that other component is bottlenecking it.

I am afraid that's not what I meant. That's is not how PBO works.. Also there is no component flashing orange they are all green. The only performance limiting factor is the cpu low frequency
