Yes you are right, I didn't know that because it was not clearly stated anywhere. Indeed I made some extra research and they take 30% of the membership, beyond taxes. So definitevely PayPal it would be better I think..... what a kind of thieves in Google, they have to pay the playstations in their offices with my few bucks...

    It's better to get 70% than 0% I think.
My 1st suggestion for you is to create Patreon. Many mod makers make good money from it especially in AC and BeamNG.
Another thing would be to provide famous YouTubers with your bike in exchange for your Patreon link in the description. It's gonna be so much more worthy than this YouTuber silently buying your bike for 4.99$

Yes I have a Patreon account as well, but I haven't set a payment method yet. I don't think I will make big money with mod, just wanted to improve a bit the YT channel and have some bucks to buy new 3D models....

    Thanks for suggestion

In my honest opinion, I think it's important to gain the recognition of a modder first before starting to do paid stuff. Especially since this is your first mod. One of the main things too is that there's been cases of mods for other games that you also had to pay for, only to realize after you bought it that the mod's quality was overall shite.

I'm not saying the quality of yours is bad, but I'm providing an example here. That's why I'm saying that gaining recognition and trust first would be a more wise decision. It allows people to understand exactly what they're getting into or what to expect from your mods both in the present and in the future.

A good example I feel would be Wanted188 on GTA V's mod site. You didn't really know what to expect from him at first, but then as he started releasing more and more mods, you could start to gain an expectation of quality. His vehicle mods are highly customizable and even have more unique features like interior colors. But after he gained our respect in the modding community he started to do some side stuff. Like "I have a handful of other cars you can get by supporting my Patreon". And it's worth supporting that Patreon because his stuff is really good, and his development history has proven that. And on top of that he still continues to make other cars for free. The only downside is that he doesn't do as many free mods as he used to, because people would keep stealing his mods and reselling them. So now, any vehicle mod he "deems interesting" will now be locked behind his Patreon.

Judging from Camodo's video, the quality seems overall pretty good, but I already found some issues there: the front suspension doesn't seem to have any sort of compression limiters, the wheels spike a lot on deformation, tuning menu is unintuitive without real units in some variables, race transmission is super weird, stock version has not very much low-end acceleration, the dummy body parts move in a weird way, and the bike seems overall too weak (deforms quite a lot just by falling over, and the whole front falls apart on a small impact). Also wheelie feature doesn't seem to be done in a realistic way, should probably be by weight shifting of the driver. And probably needs more grip since it drives better on the drag strip than on normal roads. And also something seems off with the exhaust but I can't tell quite what exactly. But from the good stuff, it sounds really good, has overall realistic suspension, can break into many parts, and mostly deforms properly unlike most bike mods, just too weak imo. Camodo didn't test some of the most promising features at all though so I can't tell how well they work.

Thank you for these two constructive comments.

@mrwallace888 I don't know you sorry, maybe you delivered several mods, if it is not the case please trust me: to make a good quality mod at least for BeamNG it takes ages! I like my chopper but I recognize it can be highly improved and anyway I spent more than one month with daily work on it. I don't know how serial modders have so much time to dedicate. In my case it was a month with less work at job, so I could spend time on it, and anyway my wife blamed me I am spending too much time behind these "things". For sure I will not have time in future to become a recognized serial modder.
Now I want to work on a dirt bike and the first thing I wondered is: should I reuse the chopper frame and rework it? I am not sure, probably it is better to restart from scratch... other ages....
So the time I will be known at this rate will be too much late for my energies.
By the way if one is interested it can have a look at all the videos I have posted in the Video section of the forum, or on my YT channel: basically I took all the available BeamNG motocycles and make them work again by fixing beamns, nodes and LUA steering algorithm. What you can see in my YT videos is what you can do with a 25E steering wheel + pedals and some practice.

@Agent_Y : thanks for having looked at the details in camodo video, I was disappointed by the fact that with a keyboard it is very discouraging..... I am working on an improvement for that.
    So to answer your remarks:
-suspension compression limiter: there is, but there are two elements attached to the upper suspension: the sliding box with the wheel, and the beams for suspension and damper. The sliding nodes unfortunately do not have a breakgroup so sometime the suspension breaks but not the sliding nodes, and viceversa. It is complicated to optimize for more realism, I will think about it
-yes the rims spikes sometime, this is the autogenerated structure of the pressureWheel, so I don't know exaclty where to intervene to avoid it
-tuning menu I can improve, ok
-race transmission does not work fine with auto shift, but I have set lowRPM and highRPM with sense! Ok I saw there are several other parameters to tune, it can be attempted improvement. The point is that I use the manual shift, with that there is no issue
-stock yes it is a very stock low HP bike, just to go from home to the bar and back :)
-dummy body when drops yes it is freaky, but it always been in that way, the arms and legs junction cannot be bind to move on one direction only and with limits, it would need an enormous beam structure....
-bike is weak you are right, I found it funny to have dismounting easily, also beacause a bike structure has very few nodes so it is diffucult to make it deform without having it too much soft like a rubber, while it is easier to have dismounts
-wheelie yes, it is made with an extra weight on the back so that the front lifts during acceleration, I haven't player it much honestly, it is the same I have put on the other bikes I modified, but in that case it worked better, there is space for improvement you are right
I will try to improve the above in the next version :)

    Tony

Just want to tell you that with a lof of practice in modding, you learn to work more faster and better over the time. The start can be really hard and time consumeing. But there is a certain point where you develop some sort of sense of the game engine to get faster to the point where you want to be. But he got a point, people need to get trust in your work to actually pay for it. But its up to you if you care about it. Maybe you could provide some sort of "demo" version? Like a cut down version with less variations? For my personal experience, i just don't buy mods if i don't know if it is really what i want. Even when i know there is quality in it. But we ain't talking about a 60 bucks or higher mod. I don't get this discussion. That money you want from it isn't worth to discuss. But anyway. Besides from that, idk if BeamNG Multiplayer mod encrypt server sided files. If so, well that could be a chance to get people to test your mod.

I've paid for mods for this game before, and I happily would for this too, but buying something on YouTube sounds weird to me.

Based on what I've seen in Neilogical's video, this should not be a paid mod. It has 3 configurations with little difference, and crash physics where it spikes or causes a black hole

Overall crash physics is not that bad, just way too weak, it's the wheels that cause all sorts of glitches and should be completely redone imo.

I do think they need to be redone, but its not bad for a first mod though

While I am not against paid mods. There is a couple concerns at least in my opinion. 1 of course you are paying for a channel subscription instead of alternative options like PayPal, Patreon, etc. 2. There is no real reassurance that if I do pay that when I send that email I will get a email back with the file to download. Because I could pay for the subscription but then I don't get the download link (that has happened to me before). So while I like this mod I just don't want to pay for something with so many risk factors.
Also forgot to include possible virus threat. Which doesn't matter if you have antivirus but for people who don't it would be a red flag at least in my opinion.

If there was an option to buy it without paying for the membership that most people don't care about, maybe more people would buy it

Thanks to genearous and not so critic people like Neilogical or Davidinark, you can see that I am actually sending the files.

Yes definitevely those wheels are breaking bad. And it is not even my jbeam, it is that **** autogenerated pressureWheel rim that explodes. Will try to fix it in a further release.
