I have been making a map was a fair share of crooked roads, and I've crashed a number of times as a result of going too fast. I have used bob.blunderton's Road_Sign_Warn pack from one of his own maps to give some warning (In fact, if possible I would like to add to that collection, by adding hairpin turn and sharp left/right warning signs), and I plan on adding these new speed advisory signs below them. What I have been doing is using SketchUp to create a template model for all the different route shields shown below (the two digit ones, anyway) then using that template to create different COLLADAs with the different shields/textures on them. That's not all that efficient, and studying the Road_Sign_Warn pack it appears as if it is using a single model (or something like that, that's my guess based on how it is a "singleton" material), by taking textures from a dds file to then create different objects with different textures, using the same base model. I'm wondering how I can recreate signs like the "30 MPH" sign below with this method, as I am planning on making nine of these signs (10-60, in multiples of 5).
