An issue with loading the new Italy map

I dont know what it means as i have 3.52 giga bytes free on the memory stick it iis running on and i have 8 gigabytes of RAM

btw i have 0 mods active and i have looked at the performance menu and everything is green and orangr exept for the graphics which is red

you dont know what kind of GPU you have? what kind of computer is it? (thats strange to not know what GPU it has, if any, or if it is running on integrated graphics) what version of windows is that anyway? looks like a bootleg version of windows, that desktop looks weird.

my god that is a weak system, im surprised it even booted up to begin with...you are running on HD Integrated graphics, which is almost not enough to load even the basic gridmap map...your issue is that there is just not enough firepower in that system, from what I can see. its a laptop?

btw it does handle west coast reasonably well with up to 3 vehicles

 

based on some quick googling, that CPU running with the integrated graphics (not a separate graphics card), the GPU is clocked at only 650 mhz and turbo's up to 1.3ghz, so even with the CPU/graphics at full tilt, thats still barely what the minimum requirements are. If it DOES load up a car on a map (def not italy) it'll run with such bad FPS even on lowest settings. This game requires quite a powerful machine unfortunately, even with the newest update today adding a bit of performance optimizations. If I were you, i'd consider saving up and getting a better unit (PC or laptop). Also, it being a laptop, with this game running, itll get REALLY hot and throttle performance anyway.

 

also what does it mean by "you are using an intel gpu use your dedicated one instead" something along those lines

 

you can run 3 cars on WCUSA with what kind of FPS? I am thinking in the 5 - 15fps range based on the specs of that computer...

 

yes i do have to put it on a kitchen grill thingy to stop it overheating, unfurtunatly i dont think ill have enough money for a new pc until i am oldenough to get a job and all that :-(

its because that computer does not have a separate graphics card, its using the CPU only for both the computing as well as the graphics rendering. Because that CPU is so old (its from 2011 i believe) its just not up to the task of running this game. The only thing I can see that is good is that is has 8gb of ram, but even that is only DDR3 ram. From the factory, that computer has only 4gb ram so your dad must have added in a 2nd 4gb stick. On my PC, with a rather beefy i5-6600K, if I unplug my GPU and run it on integrated graphics, on lowest settings I only get about 20 - 25 fps with 1 car on empty gridmap, for a comparison.

start the game and hit CTRL+F and in the upper left corner will be the FPS counter. See what it is running at on Gridmap with the pickup.

 

where can i finde out the fps ? ( i tend to use linux ubuntu 18 sonot used to windows and keyboard shortkuts and stuff

gettin about 6 fps on west coast with 3 d-serises

 

If you run the game through Steam, then start the game, open the Steam overlay, open options, press Ingame & select to show fps

i dont notice it really as its always how ive played the game lol

 

thats about the best you are gonna get in terms of smooth gameplay....which isnt very smooth...Italy wont load up probably because the computer just cant handle it. It spazzes out. Too bad, italy looks real nice, I cant wait to get home to try it out.

well im glad you at least have been enjoying the game, even with the laggy framerates. have fun buddy, ask your dad to give you his current laptop from work lol itll probably run it a LITTLE better haha (joking)

 

is there a way of uninstalling the italy update it has seriously messed up the lighting

lol my dads current work laptop only has 4gig of ram (balforbeaty says that dells are too expencive so they have got computers from a company ive never heard of lol)

theres 3 old dell machines with widows xp on them in the garage so i was thinking of thinking of upgradeing them

 

the ram doesnt really matter as much as CPU power and you really need a separate GPU...ive run the game on 4 gigs of ram and 8 gigs of ram and makes no difference really unless theres a ton of objects on the map, for example. but on gridmap, 4 gigs vs 8 gigs doesnt really make the performance any better.

Im not sure about going back to 0.14, but if you do go back, then you lose the new car and all the new optimizations, which in your case are only helping get your fps up a but (i bet theres a slight improvement in your FPS compared to 0.14)
