An unwanted 'issue?'

    OT: has it worked fine on another monitor?

    Well, it is possible that the monitor's ports are probably bad, if you don't experience any issue with the other.

    Bah, I've broken one of his vases while he was away and replaced it with one looking a bit different, he hasn't noticed....

    I broke it 4 years ago

    He won't notice a bit
