Dear BeamNG Community, its James. I am a complete beginner, but a big F1 Fan. Shall I try and create a RL F1 Track into BeamNG Drive? If a few people are interested I will definitely try. Does somebody favours a special track? Greets
Hello, James. I'm happy you have taken an interest in mapping. Keep in mind, creating a map is a difficult task, especially if it is based on a real location. I think you should try your hand at making something simple first, like a skid pad or a drag strip, then move up to something with an elevation change like a small suburban area or a small fictional track. once you have experience with other maps, then I think you should try to make an F1 track. I say this because most beginners with high expectations will either realize it's much harder than anticipated, or will reach a roadblock and give up. This happens in every endeavor, not just map modding. Temper your expectations and make many reachable, smaller goals, and you should be able to do anything you set your mind to.
Thanks Superchu. Its not that I am a total beginner, I did a bit of mapping in ETS 2 already. But sure, you are right, I will start with that, but just wanted to see if I even should, if the community is interested Regards James
Hello again James. I think to answer your question, the community would love a well done track mod of any of these tracks. but there lies the rub. People in the community tend to have pretty high expectations for mods That said, good luck, and I will be watching you, hoping you produce great maps in the future.
making a map is quite easey, its just making a GOOD map, especially a real place ,is not. this helped me, its a bit different now but its still ok
Thank, I was just about to start my first try. I will start with Monza, cause I think its the easiest out of those 4 to do, and still highly requested
Okay Guys. I guess it sounds pretty familiar to you - high promises, no results. No, I am not that kind of guy. As school has got me busy, I will start to map on Tuesday (I promise ) And as the poll has ended, it will be Monza. Regards James aka. Nick
