Any way to disable the camera auto-centering?

Sup guys, I find the third person/chase camera to be a bit finicky, it seems like the camera sometimes attempts to auto-center and/or change direction depending on what you do (for example reversing can cause the camera to move, which is understandable but rather annoying).
I was wondering if there's a way to disable the auto-centering so I can have complete control all the time.

Also, while we are on the subject of the camera, with the Xbox 360 gamepad it seems like the right stick has no deadzone, so the camera tends to move on it's own if you dont hold the controller completely flat, is there a way to fix that?
