Anybody intested in a top speed competition?

Hi guys. Just wondering if anybody would like to have a land speed race. Here is my effort. I started off using SleepyPickup's brilliant Gavril-D-Series-Custom-Top-Speed-Dedicated-Crawler mod and spent a day tweaking the hell out of one of the trucks. This is the fastest I've managed to go before the thing turns itself inside out. It is hilarious what happens to the wheels at high speed. Before I enlarged the pic I thought it was some weird alien fucky thing..

 

HAHA. Yeah, I reduced the number of rays in the wheels from 12 to 6. Produces some pretty strange effects under high G.

Reduce the rays in the wheels huh? I didn't even think about something like that.

Wow good job man, just like sleepy, your about 3x faster then me.. I need to try out the tires mod's you mentioned, awesome! Your faster then an SR-71 Blackbird hahaha.

 

Do you guys play in real time or slow motion? If I play in real time I can only hit about 400 mph in sleepyickup's gavril before I lift off and turn on my side. Spectacular crashes though! I have yet to see how fast I can go in slow motion though.

 

Real time for me.

You have to be real gentle with the steering and thottle, 400MPH is about half of what you could do. It's tricky.

 

I just reached 800 in slow mo, cheated I know. In my experience though, once I passed around 450 or so, the car becomes more stable, and I never touched the steering after that.

(Your getting great MPG too LOL) 0.01 MPG LOL. the lowest MPG I could get was 1.0 MPG. that was with 2000 HP.

 

Dude! How is this possible? How do you keep it stable? Can you upload this tweaked version for download? I really want this, it would be amazing to watch this thing crash from 6000 mph.

Hmmm. I remember a guy that got to like 50k mph in ROR with the MV4... I miss the MV4...
