Anything an improvement on keyboard steering?

Steering using the keyboard?

Do others find it a problem, maybe it's the fingers too big on the keyboard?
Always over steering, and goosing the throttle, those four keys doesn't work so good?

I have a joystick I can't use, it's a MS SideWinder Joystick Part Number X05-92626, if I can find a drive for it, will it work in BeamNG?

I've checked Microsoft already no luck, but what did I expect they've discontinued what else is new?
Anywhere else anybody knows of?

Your joystick will probably work without needing to find drivers. Just configure the controls in-game.

 

Also steering with a keyboard will always lead to over steering because when holding the key the wheel will steer fully, and if it does that the tires will not get enough grip to steer properly. The steering doesnt work like an arcade racer. Try tapping the keys instead.

 

I just click them really fast while watching the steering wheel in cockpit view.
