So I've been wondering whether the years of production from the selector are model or production years. If they're model years, this means the given vehicle's production started in the calendar year before the one displayed in the selector. If they're calendard years, it means that the production started in the model year after the one displayed in the selector. The difference is quite big in some cars - for example, if the years are calendar, then the Bluebuck is just a '63 car, but model years would make it a '62 and '63. So which one is it? Model or calendar? Or maybe a mix of both?
Good point, because Wikipedia sometimes can’t even get this straight when discussing the period range of real life cars! I’m hoping for simplicity sake it’s the former scenario you gave— as that would strike me as much more intuitive. The latter would seem really convoluted and irrational, in my opinion.
It is just date from first and last ever made car. For example we have Moonhawk with two different front fascia - early and late.
