So, since these threads are starting a bit of a trend, I'm taking a spot in that as well, but this time, it's for questions about that superpower, the USA. So ask away, and us American users will give you our answers!
Do Americans approve of their northern neighbors? Are they ever jealous of them? (I'm Canadian so that's why I am asking)
What's it like to not live in Minnesota? (I know that it's a U.S state, just asking since the only other place I've been to is Wisconsin).
Kind of crummy here in MA, but atleast you have some pretty decent sport teams in here. Maybe, but I never really hear discussions about Canada so I'm unsure if they do or not.
Ummm... I find that to be a stereotype. I haven't really seen the police be abusive in the areas I've been to. Not sure about anywhere else around America tho, I've only been at most states of the East Coast.
Can you name good old fashioned car chase movie that would not be filmed at the southern states? Even at James Bond, they had best car chase of the series happening at south. Did Burt Reynolds ever drive a car at north? Maybe it has to do something with having to with buttons of the shirt
Generally, our police will be humane, even if you are abusive to them (don't try it, hehe). That's always been my experience growing up in Hawaii and up until recently. I now live in Pennsylvania (the deep south of the north) and was pulled over for being mistaken for an illegal immigrant (I look kinda Spanish in the summer), and they nearly called Deportation because I didn't have my identification on hand. I still got arrested and hauled off to jail, but that was for an overdue parking ticket, LOL.
Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball run? Main star in those best car movies ever made, crashes and driving dangerously, like what BeamNG is all about. Movies might have bad acting and non existing plot, but that is beside the point, cars and how they have made chases, stunts etc. that is still not surpassed. In modern films you can't see a thing with all the shaking of camera and too zoomed in shots, but back in 70's and still at 80's you got to see whole lot of cool stunts in movies, which one can try in BeamNG.
Never really knew they recorded the movie in the north (but I haven't watched the movie at all, so maybe that's why).
Oh no, it is filmed in South, like all car chase movies of that time I think, I can't remember any being filmed up North, always been wondering if that is some sort of film industry's insider joke thing to make all car chases to happen at south.
I got confused there (but again, I haven't seen the show, so I didn't really know where it was filmed).
I once watched the chase from Porn Supremacy or whatever it's called, Volga taxi vs G-wagen in Moscow and it's massive crap. You're just beginning to understand what's happening on the road, but the camera suddenly switches to the gearshift knob, then the pedals, the the protagonist's wound, then his face, then you have a glimpse of road mayhem and everything is repeated: knob-pedals-wound-face.
Yes We envy that you can get injured for free in Canada --- Post updated --- You’re from Tokyo according to your profile. I’m constantly hearing about another case of police brutality every day on CNN (our news network). Breaking news: police shoot black man Breaking news: police beat black man for speeding Breaking news: SWAT team attacks innocent Hispanic family Breaking news: American Indian hit and killed by police car Seeing a pattern there?
In Scandinavia they go further, getting injured so that you get disability gives you practically free housing and income which is some 80% of what you made when working, but lower taxes etc. That is for rest of your life.
Sun --- Post updated --- Scandinavia has got how to run a country down In Finland exams aren't a thing to keep the school stress-free. In Norway if you go to prison they take your freedom, but not your right to be treated normally. Prison inmates are shipped off to a gated community and give each inmate their own hoise They like to make prison inmates better neighbors which makes sense. Getting raped won't make you a better human. Actual corrective lessons will. Scandinavia sounds like the dream place to live Only problem is it's so frickin cold --- Post updated --- Baby driver is the only movie with good car chases
