Ok I need some clarification here. With 4wd vehicles in game we have auto locking wheel hubs but we can equip non-auto locking wheel hubs at least on the d and h series. So what are they? Are they manual locking hubs or are they just not supposed to go with 4wd.
They are just not locking at all, meaning they are always locked. There isn't much difference in behavior, auto locking ones have less friction in 2WD mode which will make the car ever so slightly faster in that mode, but the difference isn't really noticable. You can also manually unlock the auto locking hubs via the powertrain viewer app to cut off the torque to one of the wheels if you want
Yeah I was just trying to understand the difference between the two in game. Thanks for the explanation.
I remember when there were manually locking hubs as an option? Thankfully CEEP brought them back. Do you know what happened to those?
They were replaced with the automatic ones when we got support for these, because they weren't realistic for this type of vehicle. But they can still be used in mods and stuff
I’d say manual hubs are realistic in a 1990s truck but it doesn’t really matter. Thanks for the response
