Hey again, and welcome to my latest WIP project: the 1972 Autobello Aria!
    screenshot_2025-02-18_15-12-36.png

Created as a replacement for the aging Piccolina, the Aria features a brand new hatchback design and a revolutionary front-engine front wheel drive layout.
What started as a quick idea for another car after I finished my Hirochi Mistral, a few months of work and a full ground up remake later has become this small car to push Italy into the new age of automobiles.

Okay, now with the lore out of the way, let me show you how it looks like as of 18.02.2025!
    screenshot_2025-02-18_16-56-46.png screenshot_2025-02-18_18-12-31.png screenshot_2025-02-18_16-51-24.png

And now for the more technical bits:
    screenshot_2023-04-17_20-42-55.png
The car rides on MacPhersons in the front and torsion bar trailing arms in the back - the latter is a slightly dated design for the 70's, but it makes up for it with simplicity, high storage space and low weight. The engines will be 1.0L, 1.2L and 1.5L inline-4s with around 45, 60 and 90hp respectively.

Physics-wise, the car features ~95% scratch-made jbeam, which probably isn't the best of quality, but throughout my testing (throwing the thing around Gridmap V2) it seems to hold up just fine. If you know a thing or two and want to help tho, feel free to message me!

Alright, for now that's all. Progress updates should come every week every once in a while, I think. Enjoy!

Cool! But is there going to be a .zip file here? Or will we have to wait for till it reaches the repo?
(For the peeps that keep telling me "It can't be released yet" I mean when the mod is done.)

Ooooooooh this looks amazing already. And, considering the quality of the Mistral, this is gonna be amazing when it releases. Keep up the amazing work.

Seeing as it only has basic lights and no interior right now, I'm guessing it still has progress to be done before release

this is what I've been waiting for!! I assume this is like a fiat 126 equivalent because It replaced the piccolina, witch is based on the fiat/seat 600 (I guess the fiat 126 is more of a replacement of the fiat 500 but you know what I mean)

Not at all, Fiat 147 is Fiat 127's Brazil version
Another, Fiat 127 also has Spain version, That's SEAT 127

Does the name "Aria" also sound bad in other languages than German*? Maybe the german export version needs another name ("Centoventisette"?).

    * "Arier" (homophone of Aria) was a racist term used by the Third Reich. Although Nissan now sells a "Ariya" here as well.

Yup, it is indeed based on a 127
Not sure if I can do that, but once I release the mod, feel free to try making it!
I might just be dumb because I personally don't see anything wrong with the name, but if it is something bad, I could change it to something like 'Arietta'.
