Ok, since newer vehicles are implementing "skip shift" strategies into their (TCM/TCU) shift strategies fo 7+ speed transmissions. Why not implement this into beam for the newer vehicles (ex ETK?) for vehicleController. It would be very helpful, with cruising or aggressive up/downshifting it could be tied into the aggression factor or its own separate parameter. @Diamondback @Goosah
Not really worth the trouble... Ironically, the reference cars for the modern ETKs specifically don't do this I haven't seem them skip gears on upshifts, it's always sequential (I was surprised myself, didn't expect that)
That was a "modern" example lol , it wasn't the best I must say.. a better example would have been the 10R80 10 - Speed from Ford/GM. --- Post updated --- Also @Diamondback What's needed to config the newly added "torque loss" new addition during shifts in 0.10.01?
use shiftEfficiency in the gearbox definition (not vehicleController) default value is 0.5 (1 = 100% power transfer during shift)
