The other day I was looking at a new cpu, because I need a better one that does not bottle neck. Well I found the perfect one and I was looking at it. It just needed to go down a bit in price. When it did I was all prepared to buy it the next day, but then I noticed the star count going down. I check the reviews and they were all fake 5 star reviews. The real ones were people saying they were used workstation cpu's. That would of been a rip off! They were all dying in a week, so they must have been VERY used. Well i started looking again and found the lower end model. Same thing but just a tad slower clockspeed. Im going to buy that one because it is legit! Be careful because you never know when someone is going to scam you! Im a little bored right now, so this is what I choose to do? Yes, yes it is.
around $150 it does not seem like too much, but (its amd) its not exactly a gaming cpu, but it can handle a lot! Also it uses A LOT OF POWEER
If you have a cold room, then 250W is just fine I bought once cheap bicycle pedals from Chinese online store, they did look fine, but material was such that my shoes did eat it away, didn't last many weeks until they were worn so bad that had to replace them. I was not only cage of pedals, but bearing balls did eat their way trough that aluminum or whatever tin those pedals were. Price was something like 2 dollars delivered, so no wonder they were bit poor quality.
Always buy direct from the manufacturer or from a reputable source that allows refunds or returns, like Newegg, Amazon, or even eBay. Online isn't the problem necessarily, it's dealing with sketchy people.
Refunds go through Amazon themselves, not the seller. They may have said no refunds, but they can't do that to my knowledge. That's why Amazon is safe, even if indivudual sellers may not be reputable.
You definitely would have still got your money back. One email to Amazon saying they refused to take the item back and it would have been sorted. Amazon has always been good with this sort of thing in my experience. One time my order of a cheap USB thing from an independent seller in China was sent to the wrong address. The seller wouldn't respond, but Amazon issued a refund with no questions asked.
I have an old PC (that I don't use much anymore, btw I am on my new one) that is an Optiplex GX620 with a 250-300 watt (maybe more) Pentium 4 @ 3.2 Ghz. (it heats up an 8x8 room no problem!) --- Post updated --- Oh, and I recommend using pcpartspicker.com
