As many of you know, this game has seen a lot of improvements and changes. Here's a tech-demo from around 2 years ago that's been sitting on my PC for some while. I guarantee you can definitely see the differences between now and then. Have fun. http://www.gamershell.com/download_102365.shtml
That one is new, the one uploaded here is from around 2 years ago so it isn't the same as the current one.
I still have the tech demo. They say no mod support and only a couple of cars but I added some files and now can play an old and new version
Around August 2014, I got an SSD and reinstalled my OS and all my apps and games, but kept my HDD as backup and extra storage space. One thing that went untouched for all those years was my retail copy of Beamng. I think it's version 0.3.2, but I'm not sure. The app is called alpha prerace, and it was last modified on August 9, 2014. It still works, and I can even put new maps and cars in there, though they don't work very well... It's really amazing to go back over three years and see where this game was back then. So much has been added and improved upon, it's hardly recognizable as the same game anymore.
How fast were you able to run that version of Beam? I know that I can average between 10 and 40 FPS on lowest with 1-2 cars on my Dell Inspiron laptop with a dual-core 2-GHz-per-core i3 with integrated graphics and 4 GB of RAM.
I got Beam before I was old enough to have my own computer, and since it was before Steam, it never updated on the family computer. I believe that it has the prerace update as the latest version. I got it in July 2014. It runs terribly, but I may open it and get some screenshots of it tomorrow.
I knew Beamng with a YouTube video back in 2014 (idk what video is), since the time i knew Beamng, it was back when I played ROR (Rigs Of Rods). and i really wanted the game, but the only reason i can't buy Beamng at the time, it's beacause you have to pay the game. So the only ways to have the game is: -Tech demo -Crack the game So i choosed to crack the game, and it works, so i played the game, and 1-2 hours later, i was bored to play beamng, cause i cant play beamng cracked with mods. So i played ROR instead. And yea, now i buyed Beamng, the game is more realistic, i can play with mods, and it's great!
