I haven't seen such shitty web design in a long time..

 

yeah and it doesn't really seem like it was featured more so just ripped from beamng's youtube channel...

wimp is popular because its the only video host that doesn't have horrible bandwidth

 

I could create a better website then that and the only experience I have is one semester of web design in highschool.

New user here! Thanks to wimp.com I found this game and site. For your information, wimp.com is supposed to be that simple (read their FAQ) and I like it that way.

Maybe I'll buy BeamNG next week if it works with my steering wheel. The game itself looks very promising on videos.

None of you have really gotten the point of wimp.

Its not a video host. they embed videos from youtube.

What they actually do is show a daily selection of interesting and funny videos. Between wimp.com and bash.com on my phone i get my daily digest of good video's.

Simple doesn't need to mean ugly and outdated.

Please tell me how brilliant Youtubes web layout is when, if I press "my subscriptions" on Youtube, litterally HALF of my screen is completely blank and every piece of content is lined to the left side of the screen? Youtube has some of the worst web designers in the world, honestly... Old YouTube was fine, there was no reason to change it, other than having a new look... Youtube can't even remember that I already watched a video yesterday. A blue link that turns purple on Google can.


Honestly, I wish every website used a design that's as simple as WIMPs web design. Function > Form. Sure, it might be ugly and outdated, but it works perfectly fine. Adding a nice fading-in embossed beveled animationing glow to every graphic and button in the world = just a waste and slows stuff down. Have a button change color when when I mouse-over them(and not a fading-in color change either, just instantly works fine), that's all it needs. Same with animated game menus. Just have everything simple and appear instantly(See GTA San Andreas main menu), that works much better.


@ topic: I've never heard of the website either, but if a lot of users use it, it'll be nice publicity for BeamNG . Let's just hope it's not gonna result in an influx of children, since they say children and elderly use their site most...

i was talking about the website design anyway though, as even youtube's design is nicer then wimp's (seriously sounds like a client issue on your side though, as it works as its supposed to for me, do you have noscript by any chance? as that may be why)
