Estonian traffic safety program "Red Second" briefly used some illustrative in-game footage from BeamNG Drive. from 4.25: http://etv.err.ee/v/elusaated/punan...-f3c36f02e93d/punane-sekund-510-turvavarustus
They could've at least credited BeamNG-FUN, as the footage was taken from 0:16-0:19 and 1:04-1:15 of his video.
I agree, there´s no referring to the game in the credits either. Same goes with the crash test footage shown previously. I am not sure about the copyright laws, but considering it is a non commercial channel, meaning, it´s a non-profit organisation it should´nt be a problem - rather question of ethics and best practice.
I find it very interesting that, not only did they use visuals from a non-educational game (while you can learn a lot from BeamNG about car handling and general physics, learning is not the main purpose of BeamNG's development, correct me if I'm wrong), they also used a clip of a mod vehicle, which means that, despite the high quality of the oldfullsize mod that was used in the video, there is a greater risk of physical inaccuracies when compared to footage of a Moonhawk in the same situation, for example, as the dev-made cars are generally much more well made. Of course, for a road safety documentary all you really need is footage of a car getting crumpled like a tin can, so most physical inaccuracies can be disregarded, especially considering that the oldfullsize mod's high quality allows it to be very similar to the real car in terms of structural behaviour in a high-speed collision
