I used BeamNG successfully on Linux up until version .26 when I began getting this error every time I launch the game. On a fresh reinstall of both the game and proton, the game still refuses to launch. I have attached all log files I could find. Thank you for any help.

Do you have a Logitech wheel plugged in?

I was getting the same/similar issue, but not sure if it's the same cause. v0.27 did work yesterday (I played quite a few hours). After turning it off and later restarting it, it loads the launcher, then goes straight to error report when I attempt to launch the game (same message etc as your screenshots). Launching in safe mode from the launcher menu just sits and does nothing. No launch, no error. It's possible I changed the proton version in the meantime.

However, I discovered it will launch if I unplug my wheel (Logitech G920). If I later plug the wheel in, it detects it, though crashes when I click on a menu button.

This seems to happen on both Proton Experimental and Proton 7.0-5

There was someone with a similar issue here : https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gami...itech_g920_beamng_crashes_and_force_feedback/

I tried setting mine to Proton 6.3-8, and currently it loads without crashing.

I'd try the beta linux version, but my "driving sim" computer is still running the old Ubuntu 18.04, which lacks "GLIBC_2.29" to launch.

I dont have a Logitech wheel, but I do have a Logitech flight stick. Unplugging it resolves my issue. Mine also works flawlessly on 6.3-8. Thank you!!!!

Do you have any idea why it might be having these issues with Logitech devices?

With m'y thrustmaster wheel, sometime I need to unplug m'y Logitech mouse to have the FFB. ( I generaly need to do that when I plug my wheel after lauching the game. And for me it's a good feature because in other game, if I do that, i need to relaunch the game.

Still, It should just work without weird unplugging trickery.
