I don't know about you fellas, but I think BeamNG should open up a Kickstarter! Opening a kickstarter would benefit because, any procceds would be counted towards "Development" costs, such as maybe hiring, or getting some Volunteers to help script, model, texture, and bug fix the game. Here is how I think BeamNG should get their "Backers" kit going. Donate $5 - Showing some love! - Thank you for your generosity! All though you don't get anything in this package, you will help us with development costs! Donate $10 - Friendship! - In this package, you get a -Physics Are Awesome- Badge to go on your vehicle! (-Created by volunteer-) Donate $20 - Oh Boy! - In this one, you get the Badge, and a spot in the Alpha Lite (Sound familiar?) give aways! Donate $30 - Getting hotter! - In this package, you get a Badge and the Pre-Alpha/Alpha game when released. Donate $45 - Level 2 License! - In this pack, you get a Badge, the pre-alpha game along with the Beta and the full game when released! Donate $60 - Supporter! - You get everything from the previous packs (Even a Lite invite to give a friend, when released) along with a spot in the "Supporters" group in the credits! Something along the lines of that. Tell me what you think, members and developers! -Geo
Looks like around 80-85% of this community aren't old enough to have their own credit card.. But yea, I would donate in a kickstarter campaign.
I've been wanting to contribute for a while, but there isn't really a way other than the RoR Forum right now... Regardless of it happening or not, I definitely like the idea.
They kinda are. Donations get you stuff. I want a custom title for over 10000 posts maybe. I'm broke.
yeah and that?s the biggest problem with the BeamNG community! But maybe a kickstarter campaign would make this community a bit more mature and give it som serious promotion.
Unlike most of the people around my age on here I do have my own card but I don't have enough money to donate since the money I made mowing lawns went to a new GPU, wireless receiver for xbox controller, and a cheap Chinese gaming mouse. All but the mouse were mainly for this game. (I got the mouse because my crappy 5 year old Logitech is crappy and caused me to spend literally 10 hours trying to fix my computer before I realized that the mouse is what caused the computer to not boot) If they do get it on kickstarter, how about the people who donate $5 or more and the people who donated money when buying the game get a little "Supporter" bumper sticker as an option in the options menu? (Would be nice for letting players know you support BeamNG when multiplayer comes)
