Hi, I am building a new computer soon and I was wondering how well Beamng supported Crossfire/SLI. Now I will point out that I am planning on 2 way MSI 970 Gaming cards in 1440p/1080p.
    Thank you.

AFAIK BeamNG doesn't support multi-GPU, but I might be wrong.
Do you really need two cards anyway? If you're on 1080p, a single 970 is enough. For 1440p SLI might be a good idea though.

And what if it's 5760x1080p? :p Probably even a triple card setup would have a hard time making it run at 60 fps...

Dual GTX 980's or a 295X2 could probably do 60 fps. Dual Titan X's would easily do 4K 60FPS.

    7950 here at 5760x1080

can hold 30 fps with everything on high aa and that stuff + the reflection and stuff is disabled. Depend on map i can reach 40

    So a 980ti overclocked is about 2 7950 overclocked + 20-30% depending on the 980 ti overclock

Sure You need lot of gpu power..... 3 1080 screen = 3/4 of 4k power needed

1440p would says a 980 ti is the perfect choice. Always go with the bigger gpu first you can get like they says this thing crush a 970 alive

How much you get on gridmap(not the empty one) and base sunburst ? 3820x2160 res here and 4790k with r9 295x2. I get around 25fps on High settings and no AA.

    31-32 on spawn spot

with high setting at 7680x1440p In VSR real rs is 5760x1080

    Seem crossfire kill the performance

Single gpu or crossfire with single gpu is always better than single dual gpu because you can disable crossfire while you cant of what i know

In terms of running BeamNG at very wide resolutions it seems to work pretty well. The fps dip from running windowed across monitors is fairly low. But the problem you may have is the warping on the side monitors, this game does not handle that so well.

Yea but most game do that.. Anyways all of my friend never realised it. Because 99% of people focus on the main screen.

And i have Refresh line (tearing i think) on the left and right screen because im not using all display port. a mix of dvi hdmi and dp

At 6040x1200 on a single 7970 and Phenom II X6 @4 GHz it's 20 FPS on spawn spot and it stays at flat and level 20 FPS even if I drive around with other car (basic Sunburst) spawned nearby or crash them into each other. There's no framerate impact when fiddling with Anizo and FSAA as well - it's 20 FPS no matter if it's off/off or 16x/4x.

I wonder how much will I gain by adding a second 7970...

Most games are not simulators, this is. The best multiple screen support I've ever come across is built into Live for Speed. It's so versatile, effective and straightforward I wish every game had it done like that.

Same here. Interesting, I didn't know it's because of mixed display out types.

The reason for the screen warping as it does is because BeamNG uses a single camera for all 3 screens. The games that do it best use a single camera per screen. That way you dont get the weird warping effect.

    Re: Beamng & Crossfire/SLI

Just get a single GTX 980.
    Cheaper and less bugs/problems.

    Simple.

    Or even a 980ti.
