Hello BeamNG Team, I'm writing to respectfully suggest the possibility of making select older versions of BeamNG.drive, specifically 0.4 and perhaps 0.5, available as opt-in beta branches on Steam. As a long-time admirer of the game's unique soft-body physics and driving experience, I've found that the continuous advancements in graphical fidelity and physics complexity in newer versions, while impressive, have unfortunately made the game inaccessible for some users with older or less powerful systems. For instance, I can enjoy version 0.4 immensely, but I cannot seem to be able to access versions I really like, such as 0.5. Making these specific older versions (like 0.4, or 0.5 if it can be made DX9 compatible or if there's a DX9-friendly build) officially available through Steam's beta system would be incredibly beneficial for several reasons: Wider Accessibility: It would allow a segment of your player base, who might not be able to upgrade their systems, to continue experiencing the core BeamNG.drive physics. Preservation: It would formally preserve different, playable eras of the game within the official Steam platform, which is great for historical reference or for players who prefer the specific feel or content of a past build. Convenience: Steam handles installations and ensures all necessary dependencies are in place, making it far more user-friendly than relying on unofficial archives. Mod Compatibility: Some older mods might only function correctly with specific legacy versions of the game. Thank you for considering this suggestion. The work you do on BeamNG.drive is incredible, and providing official access to these older builds would be a huge boon for players navigating system limitations. Sincerely, LancerEvoRallyDrive
