Greetings! I have been playing BeamNG.drive for quite a while now, and I know that licensing can be really expensive so I understand that they have fake brands and names for the vehicles in the game, but I have always been curious what the real world equivalent of the vehicles are, or at least what they are most like. It would also be nice if I could know what each made up brand's real world equivalent is. Thanks!

One i'm not sure about is the Hirochi SBR4. Seems to be based of the Ferrari FF (Four seat, four wheel drive, shooting brake).

D-15 is based off a 1990's Chevy/ GMC Truck. The H-15 Is based off of a late 90's Ford E-series van. The Grand Marshal is probably a mid 90's Ford Crown Vic. Roamer is also based off of a 90's Ford Explorer Moonhawk is similar to 70-80's Chevy monte carlo.

Plenty of threads about this exist already. Use the search and find them instead of making another one.

I would say they are more inspirations considering the amount of cars that an average person is exposed to. Unless you never see any cars ever, your work will always be somewhat similiar or inspired by something that has already been created especially if it is good or unique. They are definetely not copycats though because each car clearly has its own unique characteristics and design querks.

Please guys, stop with these. Is it that hard to understand that they are original designs that take some design elements from real cars?

The best you can do is say that X car from beamNG might use elements from Y car, for example.

The Sunburst has styling cues similar to some Subarus, but on a drivetrain level it shares a lot of features with a Mitsubishi Lancer (FWD, transverse 4 cylinder, AWD and turbo options). But you can't say "durr sunburst is a subaru" because that isn't a fair comparison at all. Same with all the other cars.
