I have an idea of beamng maybe being available for iOS/android But to do that, it would be a big app and not only that, on screen controls would have to be added It would be pretty cool though Just an idea Although it might lag extremely bad on iPhones though
Not possible due to the performance of phones ATM. Might be possible in 5 or more years when phones get more powerfull though.
Come on, BeamNG cant even run on a mid range laptop due to how hardware intensive it is.... And now you want the game on mobile devices? FPS isnt just set in a program's files you know, its also down to the hardware of the machine. And its not just iPhones it would fail on.
you know I actually wrote a huge post on why this can't happen before. I'm not going to dig it out as it wasn't hard to find via the search button...
Simply put...NOT POSSIBLE...phones couldnt run the physics engine alone of this game...this game from what I was told some time back was based of the Crysis engine
nope, no Crysis here. Could easily explain further but its been a long day and I'm not arguing with my phone keyboard
Ironic you mention its your phone keyboard in a thread asking about iOS and Android :3 Brings up that even touchscreen controls, if it were even possible to run the game on a mobile device, well, would ruin the fun.
it's not so much arguing with my phone keyboard in all honesty, I'm rather adept actually. But I can't be bothered to explain both the migration away from cryengine, the irrelevance of it or the differences in phones and pcs preventing the game from running
that also. It isnt impossible, but would require a group of people dedicated to the task of porting the game over. and not to mention the size of the game either...
GTA San Andreas, the IOS port, took up a huge chunk of my space on my iPad. Imagine this game could do worse than that... especially if there were something like DLC in the port aswell.
I understand I mean it was a while ago I heard it so this information is incorrect,, but I agree about the physics engine not being able to run on a phone not even my own HTC One M8 could run the graphics and physics engine on it....its no match for a DEDICATED gaming pc
The space wouldn't really be the problem, the problem would be the processing power required, IIRC the file size of beam isnt that big(at least compared to some other PC games, I know nothing about phones or tablets, other than the one I had that could barely even handle running its own OS). and there is also the issue of lack of mod support...
Probably your phone will be on fire after you messing around in ECA for 10 minutes. And it's too big for Android phones, I even can't take videos after I installed "Fake" Racing 3 on my HTC
I found fake rip offs of Beamng on IOS, but there nowhere to realistic to the real game. And they're laggy and have horrible camera angles. The names are bad too. There's one named NextGen Car Game Racing.
Next gen Car Game Racing looks more like its based on wreckfest. if it is a knockoff I think the devs have a problem on their hands.
